Refunds and returns.
This is a family business in Castle Rock, Colorado. There is no returns department and no warehouse — there is a workbench in a garage. So this is written plainly rather than defensively, and we would always rather fix a problem than argue about one.
This covers Found Things tags. Anything we make later gets its own terms here, because the sums come out differently for different objects.
When it ships
Within three business days of your order, from Castle Rock, Colorado. If something holds it up we will email you before the three days are out, tell you the new date, and refund you in full if you would rather not wait.
If it arrives damaged, faulty, or wrong
We replace it or refund it, whichever you prefer, and we cover the cost. Email us a photo — that is all we need. Do not post anything back.
If you change your mind
Email us within 30 days of delivery and we refund the whole order. No reason needed and no restocking fee.
Please do not post the tags back. Each one is numbered to your order and encoded to that number, so a returned tag cannot go to anyone else — it goes in the bin whichever way it travels, and the postage comes out of the same pocket the refund does. Keep them, pass them on, or recycle them.
We print these one at a time and postage costs more every year. The margin on a set of four is thin, so a refund lands on a person rather than a spreadsheet. We are trusting you, and nearly everybody earns it — if you actually need the money back, ask, and you will get it without an argument.
If you already set a tag up
Tell us the tag numbers when you email. We switch them off, which deletes the details you entered and stops the tag pointing at your phone number. That matters more than the refund does.
How to ask
Email hello@mightaswellco.com with your order number, or the email address you ordered with if you cannot find it. A person reads it.
When the money comes back
We send the refund to the card you paid with, usually within three business days of hearing from you. Your bank normally takes a few days more to show it.
